WARRANTY


This manufacturer's warranty applies to all purchases made between January 1st and December 31st, 2021. This warranty is limited to all non-commercial HGS products sold in the United States.

The warranty only applies to devices that have not been intentionally misused or used incorrectly. Accordingly, you should ensure that you use all equipment with the utmost care. Furthermore, the warranty is limited to all defects in the material and workmanship.

Warranty A-Includes but not limited to:  exercise bikes, rowers, treadmills, recumbent bikes and indoor cycles

For defects on the structural frame: 1 year

For defects on components and other parts: 90 days

 

We manufacture all HGS products to the highest quality standards. In addition, there are regular quality controls and the products are tested before they are sold. In this way, we want to ensure that you receive sufficient security when using the devices and that you do not take any risks when purchasing any products. Possible errors due to incorrect handling or wear cannot be ruled out.

HGS warranty for structural frames

At HGS, you get a guarantee that all products come without material or workmanship defects. However, the products are only suitable for household use.

The warranty is limited to the manufacturer and buyer only and cannot be transferred to the buyer and owner. The guarantee becomes ineffective immediately if the HGS products are used for commercial and / or industrial purposes. This includes, for example, the use in fitness studios or condominiums.

In addition to the warranty, the original purchase receipt must be presented. The purchase must also have been made from an authorized merchant or reseller. The warranty does not apply to used products. In order to confirm the warranty calculation, it is necessary that you first contact us.

It is recommended to first test the HGS devices for functionality after assembly. Be particularly careful when doing this should there be any defects. If an item is missing, damaged or not working, you need to report this to our support team. We will then find a suitable and quick solution. However, HGS is not liable for any defects in the products resulting from misuse or incorrect assembly. In order to be able to guarantee proper functionality, careful and correct handling, care and maintenance of all products is required.

The following are not covered under warranty

Damage caused by the product itself. Note that there are some states where such a restriction does not apply. For this reason, this exception does not have to apply to every buyer.

It is possible that HGS will send you new or equivalent products or parts as replacements. In some cases, a repair can also be made. However, neither is guaranteed and always depends on the individual case.

If a certain product is no longer available, you may receive a similar product as a replacement. Also, please note that any replacement device is under an ongoing warranty. HGS reserves the right to inspect any product or part that you report defective prior to replacement or repair. You should also note that the cost of a repair or replacement does not include the cost of shipping, labor, assembly, or damage associated with returning your defective product. 

The following are not covered:

Damage or defects in the devices that can be attributed to non-compliance with the operating instructions.

Ordinary wear and tear on the devices and accessories

Cosmetic damage, such as damage to the paintwork or the finish, which does not affect the use, only the appearance

  •  Broken or scratched parts
  •  Problems with the brake pads, cables and rubber handles
  •  Damage from improper storage, assembly and handling
  •  Defects due to lack of or incorrect maintenance
  •  Damage caused by an accident
  • Repair for noises

The guarantee covers defects in the device in its original composition, caused by manufacture or material. Provided that the instructions for assembly, care and use have been followed, the guarantee extends to those errors that can arise during normal and appropriate use. 

However, the company is not liable for errors that result from incorrect use or are caused intentionally. Regardless of this, all components must be checked regularly by the customer and treated with suitable lubricants in accordance with the operating instructions. An extension of the warranty due to a complaint or an exchange is excluded. Not all repair and maintenance costs are covered by the warranty. If the device needs to be picked up by a forwarding agent, it must be made available at ground level by prior arrangement. The logistical handling is discussed by a service employee before the pick-up. If a loaner is required for the repair time, this can be provided for a fee. The costs are calculated from the transport costs and the rental fee. There is no right to a loaner. Damage caused by incorrect assembly or insufficient care is not covered by the warranty. If the device is used for a purpose other than that stipulated in the contract, the warranty is void.

HGS also has the right to make changes to the guarantee at any time. Any changes will not replace the warranty conditions that were in effect at the time you purchased the products.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Other than the warranty, there are no express or implied warranties that HGS will adhere to. Also, be aware that there are some states and provinces where limitations on a warranty do not apply. As a result, the aforementioned limitations may not apply to you and the products you have purchased, or the warranty. The limitation of liability for repairing or replacing a device or accessory is part of your remedy. HGS will also not be liable for damage of any kind to the replacement devices. HGS will not make any reparations for the downtime that occurs due to the defects and the return or exchange. In addition to the rights that this warranty gives you, you may also have other rights. However, this differs depending on the state and province.

The buyer is entitled to exercise the legal rights relating to the trade in consumer goods in accordance with the legislation. These rights are not limited by the guarantee. When purchasing a new device, the dealer gives the manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee applies during the guarantee period for manufacturing defects that can be traced back to the material or the manufacturing process. The warranty does not include any maintenance measures, such as cleaning or normal checking of the parts, nor such assembly measures that the customers can carry out themselves and that do not require special disassembly or assembly of the fitness equipment. Compensation payments due to noises that occur when using the device are excluded from the guarantee, provided that these noises do not significantly impair the use of the device and are not caused by a device fault. It is up to the retailer to decide either to repair the fault or to replace the faulty part or device in accordance with the conditions. The guarantee also only applies if the device is used in an application environment approved for the corresponding devices. The approved application environment for the device is specified in the operating instructions for the device. In this case, this applies to private and community use, but not to commercial use.
